95.30% of its funds committed
As of December 2024, FCAS had committed a total of €777.54 million, representing 95.30% of its overall resources. In terms of disbursements, the execution rate stood at 92.14%, with a total of €751.80 million paid out against the 2024 budget. It is worth noting that the Fund’s budget was increased by €5 million during the course of the year. As a result, the percentages of both committed and disbursed funds reflect a slight decrease compared to previous years. This is to be expected, as the early stages of programme implementation typically involve lower financial execution levels.
The difference between the committed and disbursed amounts corresponds to the standard programme cycle: project funds are first allocated through tenders and contract awards, and payments are subsequently made upon execution of those contracts.
